Question: Frigidaire Refrigerator, 7 years old. Icemaker refill wire does not raise. Trays are full of ice but it does not empty. How can I fix it?

Answer: Inspect the icemaker. Are the fingers of the ice rake pressing down on the ice or worse, encased in ice? If they are pressing on the ice, they can't push it out. This could be caused by a faulty ice mold heater system or a weak motor. If they are encased, then a leaky inlet valve is letting water leak into the ice mold and overfilling it.
