GE frig side by side

Frig is warm and freezer is fine. I checked the back of the freezer panel and no frost/ice build up. I hear the timer turn the fridge off to defrost. I manually defrosted the freezer using the defrost timer and saw the freezer defrost. Can it be a fault defrost timer. It hasn't turned off for 6 hours tonight. Any ideas?

If the freezer is fine, then I don't it has anything to do with the defrost system. More likely that is a vent blockage from the freezer to the fridge or a leak around the fridge door seal.
