Kenmore washer

I need to remove the outside covering of my washer to replace the coupler...I can't get the top off the sides..I know the three sided panel comes forward, but there are little clips holding the lid on the sides..how do I get those off without ruining them...and what's the proper procedure to get the three sided panel forward? Do I need to tilt it to get it foward.

I watched the repairman do it the first time...I guess I didn't note how he opened the machine up to get to the motor housing.
