Modular ice maker

Amana refrigerator has a modular ice maker. There are test points for the fill valve, heater etc. It is not filling. I suspect the solenoid valve(s) is bad. I stick one probe in the appropriate test point. What do I do with the other probe and what scale am I using on the VOM?

If you stick a jumper wire in N&V the water should enter the mold. If none enters the water valve is bad, kinked water line or inlet screen clouged. This forum has very helpful troubleshooting tips. Refer to them
