my ge profile was on 2 4x4's to make it higher, and yesterday things moved around a little and the metal floor of the tub may have raised causing the belt pulley to scrape. I can pound the floor lower, but the tub seems to be lower for some reason. I can slide my hand in between the top of the tub and the top cover of the washer and it's about a thumb width opening all the way around. . Maybe it was always like this and I just never noticed? The 4 piston type shock absorbers seem to all be working correctly, hanging the tub and allowing it free movement.
Is there something wrong or missing that supports the tub so it will 'hang' higher in the appliance? Could it have been overloaded and something 'snapped' to drop the tub somewhat? I can't find any broken parts in the cabinet.
thanks
