I have a mdb5130awb maytag dishwasher. When it drains it makes a loud noise. If I open the door it sounds like a rattle but when the door is closed it sounds like something in the pump. I took the spray arm off and all the parts down to a point where there is only a cutter showing, removed 2 screws from pan handles a piece of glass and a rivet reassembled and the noise is still there on draining.

With all that stuff near the seal you may now have a leaking seal and bad motor bearings. Pull bottom panel and look for seal leaks at the top of the motor.

Pull pump apart again and rotate motor. Roughness will verify bad bearings.

Hard to tell what's wrong without hearing it. Could be the pump motor going sour
or a lack of sufficient water. There is no separate pump on your washer for drain.
Make sure the water level is near the heater, if not you have a fill problem.
