I have a Maytag refrigerator a few years old that freezes everything in the fresh food section of the unit. adjusted temperature settings , unplugged unit for a day but still freezes everything :confused:

Most refrigerator-freezers have a control that adjusts the operation of the cooling system of the freezer only. In such appliances, any control for the refrigerator is simply a mechanical system of opening or closing vents between the refrigerator and freezer to let in more or less cold air.
You may need to adjust the vent letting in less air from the freezer or adjust the thermostat which will affect the temp. in freezer and fridge.
