Kenmore electric Dryer won't keep running

I have a Kenmore Electric Dryer, Model Number 110.64982300. It is just over one year old and just out of warranty.

The problem is that it will not keep running. It starts when the start switch is depressed and will run as long as the switch is depressed, however, as soon as the switch is released, the machine stops.

Is this a simple switch problem or something more complex like perhaps the motor relay or something like that? :confused:

MAYPO, Thanks. I went there, read up on it and that was the problem. It's fixed and running fine now. With an updated control board that has a completely different diode configuration. :D
