View Full Version : floppy drive doesnt save

my floppy drive doesnt want to save any thing i write to the disk and when i
insert the disk it saids that there is no disk in the drive. help' me what can
i do. :confused:

Sounds like you may have to replace the floppy drive. But before you do, have you be inside the pc lately? You could have unseated the cable to the floppy drive. If not, just open the case and check to make sure the cables are seated firmly in their connectors. It could have worked itself loose. Otherwise, you can easily replace the floppy drive. They are fairly cheap to buy $10-$20 bucks. Hope this helps.

This the second time one died during use. This one has a one time read then doesn't operate any more. What is the real issue, bad capacitors or resistors?
It reads the one time so the bios is working but hardware wise what did the dump? Maybe I could find one of those cleaning disk, I'm just kind of hard to convince, even though this is the second time. :confused:
