Hi and thanks for this site and forum. From the problems I am having according to to this website, it sounded like I needed to replace the coils/solenoids. After opening up the front panel I found that when the dryer was started the filiment heated up, the valve clicked and the flame appeared. After a few seconds the flame would shut off. I replaced the coils (both) but found that the same problem still exists. I don't have a tool to check if the old coils were good or not but would have to assume that they are good. I will say that after reading these forums further, the flame is orange not blue. What is the next step or part to look at. Thank you in advance for your time.

You have poor venting. Disconnect vent in back of dryer and see if that fixes it.
Also lots of times need to take dryer apart and clean out the filter ducting.
For long dryer runs they sell a "lint eater" brush that will clean them out.

OK, so the problem was that the new exhaust flap on the outside of the house has mesh to keep critters out. this mesh was clogged with lent. I removed the mesh and this helped greatly. The problem is that the exhaust hose comes off of the back of the dryer and runs straight up about 4 feet and out. There still doesn't seem to be sufficient ventilation. The flame will still go out occasionally unless the hose is disconnected. Are there short hose vents out there with filters or what options do I have?
