I searched the Appliance forum and couldn't find anyone with a problem with the Kenmore Model# 911.63265 Electric Range.
My self cleaning feature won't work. When I set it, it appears that it's going to run the cycle but, before the cycle time, it indicates that it's done cleaning.
My experience is that the previous owner doesn't wait for the unit to cool down before opening the oven and bends the latch or thermostat tang.
I remove the latch cover, jammed a pen in the switch to ensure that the latch wasn't missing the switch and attempted another cleaning cycle. Same results.
Can anyone lead me to a fix for this particular unit?
