gas dryer igniter problem.

Hi all,

My gas dryer can not dry the clothings enough. I open the back panel and find that the dryer's igniter works fine when I turn the dryer on. I can see the blue flame. However, after temperature reach the setting (high, color) the coils shuts the gas off, it can not turn on any more even though the igniter still turn yellow from time to time. The blue flame never show up again. If I open the door and turn the dryer on again, it can heat for a while until the gas turned off. What can I do for this? Thanks.

I would first check to make sure the dryer vent pipe is not clogged. I sounds as though the temperture gets to high and then the flame shuts down to prevent overheating.
