A Question About A Freezer

My mother has a freezer that is about thirty-five years old and still works fine but she just noticed that the coil on the ceiling of the inside of the freezer no longer has frost build-up on it like the others do. The temperature is still fine but she is worried that this is the start of trouble and that it may be about to quit working. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like sealed system problems, either a compressor going sour or a freon leak.
Need to measure the temperature, should be near zero for a deep freezer
