washer motor smells

I just replaced the motor coupler on my 60 series kenmore,it worked
fine for 5 min. then there was a short squeal, and the motor smelled like it was burning , any ideas???

If metallic squeal possible coupler piece lodged in motor+bad motor bushings or coupler installed impoperly.Either way, pull motor and check, please post results.

I pulled it all out again and the area around the coupler was covered with
rubber dust ground off the worn one , cleaned it out it's all good now.
