Whirlpool drier

I have a problem with my Whirlpool gas drier (mod# LGR7620KQ0) The auto timer doesn't move with the gas on ( it moves with the gas valve shut). The manual timer works either way the ignighter glows but the fire doesn't light in manual. It lights on auto the first time only . I changed the cycling thermostat and the radiant sensor. now the fire seems to light like it's should . But the auto timer still doesn't work and it still doesn't light in manual.

Your gas valve turns on when the current reaches a trip point about 3.2 amp.
If you can measure the voltage to the gas valve/ignitor circuit at the connector you may find different voltages when you select different cycles on the timer. If so post your voltage measurements. Sounds like you have a timer going sour.
