slow copy speed

hi i have a problem on copy speed between hard drives on my pc
my system chartc is intel 865perl motherboard 2.8 ghz and 3 hard disks one is 160gb, 320gb, 320gb..
the copy speed of the 3rd hard disk is slow to others when i change the sata cable it works for a few days and the starts or when i just change its slot on the board it also works for a few days but the slows down...
so how can i fix it

There is a master and slave position on each channel. You get the best speed results when the two drives involved are on separate channels and set to the master on each, and place in the correct position on the cable.

Transferring between drives on the same cable yields slower transfer rates.
