Defrost Timer

I have a GE refrigerator with freezer on top. Defrost timer came unplugged.

Help !

Wires are blue orange grey black.
Paragon timer (E-1401-00) connections are numbererd 2-1-4-3. Which colors go where ?

We can't say for certain which is which. However, we can give a place to start. First off, the terminal numbered "3" or "C" is the common wire connection. Typically white is common, in your case grey may be common. But we can't assume that.

Hidden away somewhere on your fridge is a schematic. The repair technician couldn't possibly know all the appliances out there, so the schematic is always included with a fridge. It may be glued onto the back or it may be folded up in an envelope tucked away soemwhere dry. Locate that schematic and you will be able to determine the correct order for the wire connections.
