Okay, if you snake a drain, from the sink going out to the sewer line, you should remove any clogs. If you did this and still have a clog, here are my ideas. Snakes are not good for removing gooey clogs. So any grease, butter, fat, sand, coffee grounds and similar things tend to just let the snake pass right through, but they remain and clog the drain. For this type of clog (and most others really) I recommend the use of a drain blaster. You connect the hose to a little rubber balloon-like device, stick it down the drain (where it reaches metal or relatively strong ABS pipes) and turn on the hose. It fills with water, wedges itself in place, and forces out the clogs with water pressure. Let it run for a half hour or so to push the clog all the way out. When you turn off the water, the balloon deflates and you can pull it back out.
Another possibility is this: You didn't say whether the sink will slowly drain or if it is totally clogged. If the vent pipe, the pipe that goes up through the roof, is clogged (maybe a bird's nest or dead rodent) then it makes it hard for the water to drain and you get a slow drain. No amount of drano or snaking will fix this problem. The vent line itself must be snaked to remove obstructions.
