i just bought a 50 year old home. it is a 3 level sidesplit. it has a crawl space under the main level. it hasn't been cleaned for years. i spent a day (kneeling and sitting) with a shop vac cleaning. there still is alot of dust in the air. does anyone know an effective, easy way to remove this dust? is there something i can rent and put in there for a few days to filter it out? any ideas?
thanks

The crawlspace is dusty? I take it, it has a concrete floor? Is it necessary to clean it out? Are there exterior vents? If yes, it will be hard to keep it clean.
However, if you need to move the dust out, then I would place a blower right next to the exterior vent with the air going out. Then I'd take another blower and place somewhere inthe main area, and point it at the floor to stir up the dust. Then get out of there and let ti run for 2-3 hours. Reposition the blower to another part tof hte floor to move more dust.
If you used an air filter, it would probably take very long time, use a lot of expensive filters ad only capture dust in the air, not on the floor.
Another option is to use just enough water to wet the flor and then try to mop out the dirt.
