3-4 times last week my washer stopped working after it advanced to the spin mark. It wouldn't spin or drain. The rest of the times it worked fine. Now it has stopped spinning or draining at all. It washes fine, and advances to the spin cycle, but then stops and has no sound at all. The lid has been slammed down several times in the last 2 weeks (by my grandson). Could this be a lid switch? How do I check it? Can I check the continuity with a banana plug & flash light? If so, how? It does the same thing through all cycles(reg., perm-a-press, gentle). Thanks so much for any input.
