Compressor test

Hi there,I'm new to this but i think i just noticed a mistake on how to test a refrigerator compressor.It says there should be zero resistance between the terminals & also says to set the ohm meter to the X1 reading to check for continuity to ground.Shouldn't it read a small amount of resistance between terminals & shouldn't the ohm meter be set to the highest reading to check for short to ground?If I'm wrong,please correct me.It seems to be a really good forum.Thanks---Larry
