My two year old KitchenAid Side-by-Side's Ice Maker will intermittently stop making ice.
What seems to work is turning off the circuit breaker to the frig. for about 10 minutes. Then it will reboot and start working.
It has a light beam that shoots through the ice holder to turn off the maker if it is full, so I have been taking a flashlight and have shown it in both sides. This seems to help.
Any ideas? If I am testing, does the door open switch at the top of the frieezer have to be held up to activate the icemaker. Is the flashlight helping? Are their circuit diagrams?
Thanks
