HELP!! My dryer stopped tumbling but was hot. It is a Maytag, Model LDG5916AAM. I called and the repair man came out and said that it was the belt, which he replaced. After he left I was able to dry 3 loads of clothes on the 4th, it stopped tumbling again and this time it smelled like something was burning. I called him and he said that it was my fault because the dryer was overloaded and now he also claims that something is wrong with the tub. Since he said that it the damage was my fault because I "overloaded" the dryer, the home protection warranty will not pay for it. Sounds rather suspicious to me since I have been washing and drying the same way since I have had my washer and dryer and it was never a problem in 10 years. Could it be that something else was wrong and he did not look into that? :confused: and :mad:
