Old Unit With A Crack In The Back Wall. No Ice Maker. Dripping Way To Much Water Into Drip Pan. Anything I Can Do To Help Or Should I Just Start Looking For A New Used Unit?

Thanks For Your Advice.

The crack may be letting in air, causing there to be excess frosting on the evaporator coils. The defroster will melt whatever is there and it will drain to your pan. Dirty or bad door seals will also let in excess moisture. You should be able to repair the crack with a sealer made for the low temps. found in a freezer.
