Leak from Kenmore fridge

We have a 15 year old Kenmore top/bottom. No icemaker or water dispenser. Lately some white stuff has been leaking from either side of the door, mostly the hinge side. But the fridge seems to be working ok. Is this leaking freon?

Maybe some type of sealant or caulking is leaking out but I don't think it could be freon. Freon would be a gas leaking out and would affect the cooling.
