I have a Frigidaire Model FRS23KF7AW5. 4 1/2 yrs old.
I noticed frost on the inside of the back of the freezer. I unpluged it and allowed it to defrost completely and cleaned the inside. I plugged it back in and noticed the evaporator fan wasn't running. I tested the fan motor and it was bad. I ordered a new fan. I tested it and it tests good but it doesnt run after it is installed. I am at a loss as to what controls the fan. Obviously something else went and caused the fan or the fan went and caused something to go out. I do know that in most fridges the door switches have to be depressed. The bottom half of the freezer gets to the right temps, but no air circulation to the rest of the unit. Any one have any ideas.
Thanks

The frost build means your defrost system is not working.
When the system is in the defrost mode the fan does not run.
Your defrost timer could be stuck on defrost and the heater not working.
Check your DEFROST TIMER- DEFROST HEATER-DEFROST THERMOSTAT HERE (http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php)
