Kenmore Washer

My kenmore washer fills past capasity in the start of a load, but will stop when on the rinse cycle. Even when I set the capasity to small it fill over the top of the tub. how can this be fixed???

Check out your pressure switch. It controls the water level. PRESSURE SWITCH (http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/washer/check/waterlevel.php)

Put it on warm rinse and see if it overfills on rinse also.
