My Amana side-by-side refrigerator has ice forming on the copper pipe/line from the compressor that runs up the back of the unit to the freezer. The ice gradually melts, soaks the cardbord back-panel, and drips onto the floor. It is humid this time of year in Arizona, but I doubt it is any worse than normal humidity for many areas in the Southeast. Is there something I can do about this myself. Thanks.

Low freon can cause it to ice up. Once it leaks down enough you will notice the drop in temp. inside and will require a service person to find the leak and recharge it. You might could catch the dripping water and direct it to your drip pan and let it evaporate with your defrost water.

An overfilled freon charge will cause this,a compressor going sour, or a partially frozen evaporator. Check your freezer temperature and post.
