I have a two-year old Estate by Whirlpool washing machine. The machine will run, wash and agitate but will stop when it gets to the rinse and spin cycles. It also will not drain. I have checked the lid switch it seems to be functional. I have pulled the pump, it is not clogged and the impeller seems to be in perfect condition. The motor will spin easily by hand in both directions. The coupling seems in good shape. I have tried to manually turn the control knob to initiate the rinse and spin cycles, the timer hums a little in the rinse mode but does nothing. This is the case in all modes (delicate, perma press and normal). Is the timer the culprit or am I missing something?
