How to Replace the Add/Bleach Hose

I have a Kenmore 80 Series Heavy Duty Plus, Model #11082380110. It has been leaking from underneath in the left front corner. The hose that adds the bleach into the tub seems to be the culprit (Part #352978). I have received the replacement part, but no installation instructions came with it. Do I simply pull out the old one and insert the new one? Do I need to apply any type of sealer to the bottom fitting of the hose before I insert it into the tub? Can I expect to be able to do this without removing the tub from the machine? I am able to reach down and get to the hose after I lift the top of the machine and lean it back. I would appreciate any words of advice.

I would clean and dry surfaces and add a bit of silicone cement to both ends, insert and wait a few hrs before use.
