Hotpoint Washer over filling

I have an Hotpoint washer that is about 7 or 8 years old. When I have it set to the extra large load position, the washer will start to overflow just at the end of the fill cycle. I see an adjustment screw on the side of the presure switch and I would like to readjust it to shut off the fill cycle sooner. I am wondering if I should adjust the screw clockwise (in) or counter-clockwise (out) to slightly lower my water level?

Screw it out like 1/2 turn and retest, if ok add a bit of nail polish to threads.
