Carousel Not Working in Microwave

Currently I don't want to fix it yet, but is it safe to continue operating my microwave with a broken carousel or turntable?

Yes it is safe with out the turning action. Microwave ovens have not always had turntables. It was found that they heated more evenly if turned. Once ,you could buy a turntable you could wind up to put in an oven without the built in turntable. Don't know if they are still available.
