I need to store my side by side refrigerator for about one year. The storage unit that I am renting does not have any electricity available in it. What is the best way to store my refrigerator unit I can use it again?

Store it upright. After it has come up to room temperature, thoroughly dry it with a towel. Place a couple open boxes of baking soda inside both the freezer and fridge. This will help to prevent the formation of mold and odor. Store it with the door slightly open to allow air circulation.
Unfortunately, if it can't be plugged in, the compressor will not receive regular lubrication that ordinarily occurs during operation. Some refrigerators have no problem with this and they will start right up after extended periods of storage. Some refrigerators require regular lubrication and may seize up when plugged in after long periods of non-use. Odds are, it will be fine, but there are no guarantees. Good Luck!
P.S. For anyone who stores a fridge, if possible, plug it in and run it for a couple hours every few months. This will lubricate the compressor and help to prevent any problems.
