Bathtub has grey sediment coming out of supply

When we run the water to fill the tub, grey sediment comes with the water supply. What is the source and how can it be resolved?

The source is your water supply, whether it be a well or city supply.

The cure is to drain you hot water heater and/or install an inline water filter.
