What it a good way to hang a 50# clock on a rock fireplace? I hate to drill into it but I don't know of any other way. Thanks for your ideas.

Is it true stone or a faux stone facade applied to the wall?

If it is true stone and you don't want to damage the stone, could you drill into the mortar joints and install anchors there?

If it is faux stone, you will need to drill all the way through and install your mounting anchors into a stud.

If you don't want to want to damage the stone, you could have a stand fabricated out of metal or wood. It could be designed to hold the clock as though it was mounted to the wall.

You could suspend it from above by a couple of cables.

A fifty pound clock? It must be huge.

I'd drill a hole and install an expansion anchor bolt. Maybe even put a slight angle to it too.
