My dishwasher works fine when I use it. Howeaver sometimes water and food acumulates in the dishwasher when I did not used it. I suspect it may come from the garbage disposal, but I have been checking when I use it and do not see the spillover. But once in while I get the washer with water and debris. Any ideas? Thanks

My sink drain was stopped up under the sink and was leaking from the drain pipe before the trap. It sat there stopped up until I noticed it and unstopped it. The dishwasher had filled with the waste water backing up from the clog. This is the only time mine has done this. If you have a slow drain it could happen. Make sure all drains are clean and clear.

Does your drain hose have a loop which is a minimum of 12 inches above the input of the disposer. Usually attached up to the bottom of the counter top

No, it has no loop above the input to the disposer.
