Hi - I have a Maytag Dishwasher that does not clean the dishes.
Maytag - Model: MDB7100AWW - S/N: 12645692W4
Symptom - I believe the cause of not cleaning the dishes is that the spray arms - lower and upper are not spinning.
I have stopped a wash cycle several times to see if the spray arms were spinning and they have NOT moved at all. They spin freely by hand and all the spray holes are open. I suspect this is the issue but don't know how to fix or troubleshoot it.
It case it's helpful the other conditions are:
- Dishes still dirty after completing a full wash cycle - even if I run the tap before starting to get hot water it still does not help.
- It appears tub fills to the proper amount of water, stays in the tank and drains correctly when done. I've tested this several time by using the drain function.
- The motor runs without any odd noises
- The soap dispenser opens, however, the soap just runs down the door and is not dissolved - I use liquid soap - not powder.
- I have cleaned the lower and upper spray arms to remove water/calcium deposits. The local water is "hard" - meaning 12+ gpg.
Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Denys
