Freezer Door - Keeps Falling Down

Hi, I just ordered a new freezer door for my acme fridge and the door keeps falling down. I installed the door, a spring comes with it. Maybe the spring would help from keeping the door to fall. Need help

A picture of the spring might help but if it's a spring that looks like it might fit on the hinge pin try taking the door off and put the on spring the pin and experiment with different ways to to hook it to make it give tension when the door is open so it will pull the door closed.
