My washer flooded our washroom while it was full of water. There is no leak outside of the washer, neither in or out. We ran it again after cleaning up and it filled drained with no leak. We are well water and we have deposit problems. Could a stuck solenoid cause this?

a stuck fill valve, a stuck water level sensor,

Definitely. It happened repeatedly with mine until I was able to hook to a public water system. It always happened with the cold water because the hot water tank allowed the water to settle the sediments out. A filtration system or a tank to allow it to settle could be added to the water system.

I appreciate it. But now it is working fine. My floors cannot afford another flood. So can I electrically check both of these to determine which one it is? I can find out how if that is the path I should go.

Did it flood on a warm water cycle and the water was warm. If so. your sensor plastic bowl on the bottom of the tub jammed with sediment, just clean it.
If cold water, probably a temporary jam of the cold water solenoid.
As a routine repair, I would replace the water solenoid.

You can never relax for a minute. When you least expect it after 6 months or 1 week it will happen again. Be there or be wet.

You can order a flood stop system for this washer for around $60. I installed one and it works very good.
