washer leaves clothes wet

I have a whirpool washer that leaves the clothes to wet at the end of the cycle. It appears to spin out right and pumps out ok. There is not any water left in the machine when the cycle is done. If you lift the lid it is adding water towards the end of the cycle when it is spinning out. I would think there may be a problem with the timer but not sure. I would like some suggestions. I do not know were to find serial no. All it says is whirpool heavy duty. I looked on back and did not see any thing and tipped up the control panel but only saw board part No.

or the water fill valve may be leaking. You'd have to take a voltage measurement during that part of the cycle.

If you'd post you model number, I may be able to post the wiring diagram.

Is water left in the tub at the end of spin cycle? If not, you may have a slow spin due to a bad clutch or brake show problems. Post results with your model #.
