Kenmore Dryer

My dryer has been acting funky lately. A little hard to start, have to hold the button a few seconds to get it going. 2x it started for about a minute then shut off. Yesterday, he took half of the clothes out and it ran ok. Heats up fine. Propane. Sounded a little funny on starting too. Hubby thinks it the belt might need adjusting or replacing??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)

If the motor makes a growling noise at start, it's a bad motor. Just pull dryer apart and check the start windings for discoloration, verify good or bad bearings.
