Front Load Washer

Any suggestions???
I have a Kenmore Front load washer, approx 4-5 yrs old.
Husband says the bearing is going. Its very loud when spinning.
When its off and you turn the drum you can hear that it is not spinning smoothly.
Wondering if its worth repairing. Looks like the part will cost @200.00 from sears.
Has anyone replaced this part? Is it going to be a really bad nightmare???

Go to web site www.applianceaid.com and print out the directions there. When you remove the spin basket, check the spider basket support attached to the spin basket. If heavily corroded, clean it and apply rust inhibiter paint to it to extend it's life.
