My maytag washer (model #: LAT5005AAE) fills, then the tub spins like it is in spin cycle eventually splashing water out the top. It also seems that the brake is not working either. The motor seems to be fine. It reverses direction for the spin cycle like it should.
I removed the agitator to see it anything was wedged below it and nothing was. The agiator spins with the tub. It will not move back and forth at all. All of the belts are fine as well.
