Maytag gas dryer

My gas dryer is not drying all the way and is never shutting off and after about 20 min the gas stops coming on. If i shut it off and wait for a while the gas will come back on.Is it over heating or something and tripping switch ?

a model number would be helpful...

it could be overheating or the gas valve coils do go bad when warm/hot,

before it cools down, does the glow ignitor come on right away, but the gas never does... ?

model # LDG7500AAW some times it will run fine and most of the time it heats for about 15 to 20 min and the gas shuts off the igniter will keep cycling no and off trying to light I tested the high temp thermostat and it was still closed it never opened. During the first 15 to 20 min of running the gas will go no and off.

sounds like the classic gas valve coils opening up when warm/hot
