Kenmore Washer Help

I have a Kenmore top load washer Model #110.16512690 I replaced the the coupler between the motor and the transmission because it wasn't spinning or agitating now when I fill it with water it spins really slow and the motor gets hot. When I emptied the water out and tried with less water it starts like its under a heavy load and slowly gains speed. The tub spins freely by hand so I eliminated the possibility for the brake so could it be the trans or the motor??? Please help :rolleyes:

I would suspect the motor at this point. As long as the transmission allows reasonable easy movement, then I think the motor is failing and not able to handle a normal load.
