If there is a "Hell" it would be for me to do plumbing repairs for eternity...because they never seal! We have a double kitchen sink. When we grind a large amount of, say, strawberry tops, the sinks begin to back up. Both sinks begin to fill with water. When I use the plunger in the non-disposal sink, it usually clears enough to drain. This is happening more and more often. Where is this blockage? Is it between the disposal and the non-disposal sink, or down line from the non-disposal drain? I cringe at having to take pipes apart because of my "expertise", but it may be the only way to clear clogs effectively. Any advice? Thank you! Al

The Tee that the crossover tube connect to, has a little diverter piece to keep garbage from shootin up the non-disposal side of the sink. This causes a restriction in the pipe if an undigested piece of garbage gets by the disposer blades.
Also, not everything is digestable by a garbage disposal (i.e.-carrots, lettuce, banana peels, celery, etc....).
However, to get a complete understanding of the problem, you be best served to dimantle it all and perform a visual inspection.
Plumbing jobs are affected by Murphy's Law, in my experience, one connection touched will cause all other connections to leak but, eventually they will all go back together, leak free (you may have to purchase new ferrels).
