Kenmore refriderator starts and stops frequently

At certian times of the day my fridge will freak out. It stops for five seconds and then it starts up again and runs for a couple of minutes and shuts off again.
I burned up one compressor two years ago. I burned up a starter/relay switch two weeks ago. Sometimes it runs fine. It maintains good temperature. I feel like the compressor might burn up again or the overload protector switch. Any suggestions would be aprreciated.

If it is one of the newer models using an electronic control board I would blame it on that or a defective cold control turning it off and on.
