I can not get the caps lock to work in xp pro.
I an running an abit IC7G P4 Socket 478, 1GB pc 4200 DDR,
A intel P4-3.0 Chip.
Gigabyte Radeon 9600 Pro with 256 DDR Memory Video card.

I have tried three different keyboards.All three had the same prob......
Caps lock would not work.....

The caps lock does work when I am in the BIOS setup....

Michael, I am uncertain why your system is will not recognize the CAPS LOCK. Clearly the problem is not in the keyboard since it works in BIOS.

One thing to check is in BIOS look for the setting that controls whether the system starts in CAPS LOCK and change it. Then reboot the machine.

Otherwise, your best solution is to contact the motherboard manufacturer. Whenever the problem is highly specific to a product the manufacturer is always the best technical contact.

Yup, the problem is in BIOS settings. You need to setup the BIOS...LOAD SETUP DEFAULT....PRESS F 10 TO SAVE THE SETTING AND YOUR COMPUTER WILL REBOOT.
