OK, I'm new here and any help would be greatly appreciated. My dryer just quit working all together. I've used my ohm meter to test the door switch, start button, thermal fuse and just about every other dang thing back there. What I'm not sure how to do is test the motor and the timer module. These two things have a bunch of wires going to them instead of the very easy testing of the two wires going to everything else I've tested. I'm pretty sure that one of these two things is going to be the reason the dryer is not working. any ideas? Thanks!!! :D

Tell us in detail what the exact problem is and we can be a lot more helpful.

In detail?? it doesn't work at all... it does nothing... nadda... zip... no noise, no humming, no nothing. you hit the start button and you get zip. it might as well be unplugged. This is whjy I tested all the fuses, start buttons, door swith, heat cut off switches, thermostats etc. Pretty sure it's the timer or the motor. I just need to know how to test those two components. Thanks! :)

The timer control is too complex for easy testing. There is no one set of instructions that could apply to all the different models out there. Even a technician would have to take it back into the shop for testing. However, it is unlikely for a unit to fail copmpletely. Your dead washer probably stems fom something else.

The thing to test on the motor is whether current is getting to it when the start button is depressed. If current is getting to it, then there may be a capacitor on the motor that has failed. I don't have an easy way for you to test the capacitor or motor. but if current is getting to it, that pretty much points at the motor or cpapcitor (if any).
