I just installed the Fluidmaster Fill Valve (with Leak Sentry) on one of our toilets (original to the home in 1994). The problem is the flush valve (Mansfield Model 211) is not staying up long enough to allow the tank to fully drain, which, of course, also affects the complete flushing/refilling of the commode. (One has to hold the handle down in order for the tank to completely empty.) Does anyone know if there's an adjustment I can make--and where--to prevent this from happening? (I guess I'm wondering if the parts are simply incompatible since this problem didn't exist before I installed the Fluidmaster.) Any suggestions would be welcome!

On a standard valve you adjust the length of the chain or strap so the flap opens all the way so it will stay up long enough for the flush. There should be a similar adjustment on yours to open it farther.

Thanks for the suggestion. Much appreciated! After I made the adjustment on chain length, the problem was solved. (That is, due to using parts from two different manufacturers, I first had to drill a hole in the handle lever to properly attach the chain.) Sorry for the delay in replying to you & thanks again.
